What to look for
Zimbabwe's vehicle fleet skews older and heavily toward imports, so the practical question is whether a mechanic actually knows your model and can source parts for it. Ask whether they diagnose electronically or by inspection, whether parts are new, used or reconditioned, and what warranty applies to the labour as distinct from the part. For major work, ask for the old parts back — it is a simple check that the work was done, and a mechanic who refuses is telling you something. Agree a ceiling above which they must call before proceeding.
